Residents are encouraged to make a minimum 28 day commitment to The Owl’s Nest, but may stay longer depending on their individual needs.

The Owl’s Nest delivers a dynamic, client-centered outpatient program with associated housing. We offer Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Levels of Care to ensure that each individual is provided the intensity of care that meets their changing needs. Clients have the ability to move through this phased approach as their needs become progressively less intensive as they progress in their recovery journey. All clients will regularly receive assessment and ongoing medical treatment from our Psychiatrist. We understand that many of our clients need a safe, loving environment that offers extended care options to ensure the best possible start to their new life of abstinence, wellbeing and health. Our friendly Admissions Team welcome the opportunity to tell you more about our facility, tour our 10-acre grounds and meet our staff

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

Clients who choose our services will usually start at a PHP Level of Care. This is the most intensive level of care for an outpatient setting. Dependent upon medical necessity, PHP clients receive a minimum of 20 hours per week of group therapy and one individual session each week. Some clients may receive 25 hours per week. The typical client schedule will be for 5 structured sessions of individual or group activities each day for five days a week, which will include Twelve Step workshops, Life Skills training, Recovery Tools, Creative Writing, Relapse Prevention and an array of interactive workshops to support clients with issues of loss, trauma, anger, anxiety and depression.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Clients normally move to a slightly less intense level of care after around 28 days, as their recovery grows. Dependent upon medical necessity, intensive outpatient clients receive a minimum of 9 hours per week of group therapy and one individual session each week. Some clients may receive 15 hours per week. It is at this stage that our clients begin to build on the resilience and insight they have gained at PHP and begin to apply these insights into their own recovery goals. Recovery, to be enduring and effective, supports the recovery lifestyle most reflective of each individual’s hopes and dreams. Through goal-setting, practical sessions and life skills, our IOP clients begin to focus on building a support network, improving relationships with loved ones, advancing or starting their careers and embracing involvement in community, 12 Step groups and their families.

Continue Outpatient Treatment

At The Owl’s Nest, residents are more than just a number. If clients feel they need more time, they are encouraged to remain with The Owl’s Nest until they feel comfortable enough to return home. Client may continue to receive individual and groups sessions weekly to support their new recovery lifestyles.
